Winston's Wish and Child Bereavement UK are coming together to strengthen the support available for bereaved children, young people and parents across the UK. The unified charity will be called Child Bereavement UK and this is the charity you would be raising money for at the London Marathon 2027.

Please read the following information carefully

Should you be successful you will be ‘offered a place in principle’:
  • You will be notified no later than Friday 14th August 2026
  • We will ask you to complete an acceptance form to reserve your place.
  • You will be asked to pay the £50 registration fee within 2 weeks of the notification date, if this is an issue please inform our Sporting & Challenge Events Officer and we may be able to make an arrange a timeline
  • Once your registration fee is received, your place is secured.
  • You are committing to raise a minimum sponsorship target of £2,500
Should you be unsuccessful in gaining a Child Bereavement UK/Winston’s Wish charity place: 
  • You will be notified no later than Friday 14th August 2026
  • You will be added to our waiting list in case of any drop-outs. 
  • We will send you details of other runs and challenges which are available in 2026/7 with Child Bereavement UK/Winston’s Wish.
